Twelve months after her historic win, Kelly Sildaru has done it again by not only defending her Ski Slopestyle title (making her the first athlete under 15 years of age to win gold twice!) but she is also the first female athlete to claim two medals in a single X Games.
After her exciting silver medal performance under lights in the Ski Big Air competition yesterday, the stage was set on the final day of competition for Kelly to once again show skills and maturity beyond her years.
Kelly set the tempo for the event, opening her first run with smooth rail switch work and clean landings, then gracefully glided through the jumps, stringing together a left side 900 to a switch left 1080, topping the leaderboard with a 92.33.
Her initial score was not beat, and saw her top the podium with Tess Ledeux (90 pts) and Johanne Killi (85.66 pts) taking silver and bronze respectively.
Congratulations Kelly!
